How CanariasJobs processes personal data when you browse the platform, create an account, publish listings, apply for jobs, or contact support.
This is a standard multilingual privacy template for platform operations. Please review and complete the operator details in config/legal.php before launch.

We process the information you submit directly, the data required to operate the platform, and technical usage data needed for security and service delivery.

- Job and application data such as listings, application messages, candidate profile details, saved jobs, and search preferences.
- Communication data such as contact forms, platform notifications, marketing preferences, and support requests.

3. Purposes of processing
We use personal data only to run, secure, improve, and support the platform.
- To create and manage jobseeker, employer, and admin accounts.
- To publish job listings, process applications, and match candidates with roles.
- To communicate about account verification, applications, saved searches, alerts, and support cases.
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep platform operations secure.
- To analyse usage and improve product quality, content, and recruiting workflows.
4. Legal bases
Depending on the feature, processing is based on contract performance, legitimate interest, legal obligations, and consent where required.
- Contract performance for account creation, profile management, job publication, and application workflows.
- Legitimate interests for service stability, abuse prevention, moderation, analytics, and operational improvements.
- Consent for optional marketing communication where the user can manage preferences or unsubscribe.
- Legal obligations where record-keeping, invoicing, or lawful disclosure is required.
5. Recipients and service providers
Data is only shared where necessary to operate the service or where disclosure is legally required.
- Employers can access candidate data relevant to applications submitted to their listings.
- Jobseekers can access employer data published in job listings and company profiles.
- Hosting, email, analytics, payment, and support service providers may process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
- Authorities or courts may receive data where there is a lawful obligation to disclose it.
6. Retention periods
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the platform purpose, the account lifecycle, legal retention obligations, and security needs.
Inactive data may be deleted, anonymised, or archived after a reasonable retention period.
7. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data.
You may also withdraw consent for optional communication at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
